Re-think fibre

Five fibres in every loving spoonful. No single fibre does it all.

Most fibre supplements are a single fibre. All The Fibres brings five whole foods together, giving you the full 5-Fibre Spectrum: soluble, insoluble, prebiotic, fermentable and resistant starch. A veritable rainbow.

A note from Lee: regularity is also a signal

Regularity is the goal for many of my clients who take fibre supplements, and if that's why you came to fibre, it's a completely valid reason. It's exactly where the story starts.

But in my clinical experience, regularity is also a signal. When things keep stalling, your gut is telling you it needs something different, and very often that's more types of fibre, not just more of one. Most fibre supplements are a single fibre, usually one that holds water and adds bulk.

Fibre is really a spectrum: soluble, insoluble, prebiotic, fermentable and resistant starch. A veritable rainbow. Dietary fibre contributes to regular laxation, and a spectrum of it every day supports your gut in doing what it does best: taking in nutrients and moving out waste. Regularity is just the start of what fibre can do for you.

Lee Holmes, Clinical Nutritionist

Regular and gentle, that's how fibre works best.

One fibre vs the full spectrum

  • Fibre types: most fibre supplements have one. All The Fibres has five: soluble, insoluble, prebiotic, fermentable and resistant starch.
  • How it behaves: most fibre supplements work by holding water and adding bulk. All The Fibres adds five types of fibre working together.
  • Source: an isolated husk or extract, or whole foods. Whole food sources bring fibre together with protein, fats and plant compounds.
  • How you use it: not taken like a remedy. Eaten like food, at breakfast, in baking or in cooking.

Gentle by design

No psyllium, no inulin, no emulsifiers. No artificial sweeteners, maltodextrin or citric acid. Just five whole foods.

The five whole foods

  • Australian organic flaxseed (soluble, insoluble). Mild and nutty.
  • Acacia (prebiotic, fermentable). A soluble fibre from the acacia tree that ferments slowly. Mild and mixes easily.
  • Organic chia seed (insoluble, soluble). Mostly insoluble fibre, plus a soluble gel when mixed with liquid.
  • Australian organic green banana (resistant starch). Flour made from unripe bananas, with a mild, earthy taste.
  • Australian organic lemon myrtle (soluble, insoluble). A native Australian leaf with a gentle citrus note, adding more plant diversity.

54% Australian whole food ingredients.

Fibre is a macronutrient

Fibre is listed as a macronutrient in Australia's Nutrient Reference Values, alongside protein, fat and carbohydrate. The daily target (Adequate Intake) is 25g for women and 30g for men. We're encouraged to eat a rainbow of plants. Fibre deserves the same thinking: not just how much, but how many kinds.

How to use

Stir 1 tablespoon into yoghurt, a smoothie, porridge, water or juice, once or twice a day. Add it to muffins, breads and sauces too. Start slowly and drink plenty of water.
